Hi,

In Peru I saw many contemporary paintings showing men with hats.

Most were signed with names 'Gloria', 'Galdos', 'Prado' or something similar.

Can someone give me some info about this art and its painters?

I cannot find them on the web.

This one looks a bit like them:

(remove the space before and after photos/ )

Thanks,

Tim

I know many people say this often but thats because it tends to work really well, and you find the information you are looking for. Try doing a websearch on what you are looking for and I am sure you will find out what you need to know. Good Luck.

Why does an artist need to die first before his works become a good piece for the eye of the art enthusiast?

Comment #5 Naid (63.176.159.125) - 03/21/09 22:58

I guess because their works will be limited from the day they die and even the paintings or any other works that was negatively scrutinized by the most in the past will be a great piece.

Not really Naid, it is not the case. I think because when those artists died, their life got open to the public and they see something special about that artist and his works become famous. I think it is also awkward if people would study people's lives when they are still alive, right? Anyway, it still depends on the beauty and the relevance of the art work. Good day to all.
