My family is considering moving to Peru so we can afford to take care of my mother in law who needs to have an in home nurse or live in a skilled nursing facility. Does anyone have any advice for me on how to start my move and/or when a good place in peru is to settle down?

Move to Lima, you will find cheap apartments and will be easy to find a good nurse who can take care of the person you want.

Hi!

There is NOTHING more exciting world-wide than living in (moving to) Perú. The Inca Emprire was larger, more powerful and richer than the Spanish Empire of the XVth century. And yet... many questions. All of this left behind a special country with special people and special places. (Don´t miss Macchu Picchu, please!)

Here´s a web page with plenty of info on this great country.

best of luck,

Mark

Living in Peru

Peru is a multilingual country with a rich ethnic diversity. Spanish is the official language, and English is popular among its citizens, although not spoken by everyone. The Roman Catholic religion is the major in Peru, which makes it a conservative country with popular religious traditions. The official currency is the Nuevo Sol , but dollars are also accepted in many commercial places. Peru is a democratic country and there are presidential, parliamentary, regional and municipal elections every certain time.
