Peru's history spans several millenia. From being home to the world's oldest civilisation, the Notre chivo and being conquered by the Spanish, it finally gained independence in 1821. It however consolidated a few years later after the battle of Ayacucho. The first Europeans to arrive in Peru were the Spaniards. I believe then that for a country that has been independent for that long, there has to be proof for this. How developed is the country?
