i'm marrying in arequipa in september, and i need to know what is require to obtain a visa to live in peru, and what the price it will cost?

Comment #1 John (205.127.246.168) - 06/04/08 22:28

If you are US citizen you don't need to have a visa to go to Perú. But if you are thinking to stay more than 3 month you could be charged with some fees or taxes.

Obviously you need to have your pasport and Birth Certificate, besides a document in wich shows that you are single or divorced.

Have a nice trip. Arequipa is a nice place, I worked there one year. I'm in Salt Lake City, Utah these days.

Good luck.

John

Is there anyway you can get a temporary visa to go and visit this coutry, I would like to go and see what the culture is like, the cost of living, and the job oppurtunities.

Comment #5 Ian (63.176.159.192) - 02/19/09 02:05

Jamie, john said above that if you are a U.S. citizen you do not need to get a visa to go here and visit. He just said that if you are planning to stay for 3 months or longer, you might have to pay some fees. So, just go there for a month or two and find out the information you want, than go back home, and decide if you want to move there or not.
