I am a 5 year experienced english teacher here in the U.S. I would like to know if there are any needs for teachers in Peru. I am willing to relocate and willing to take a pay cut. If anyone knows where, and if there are teaching jobs available or in need let me know.

Hi, Brenda! If you are marrying a Peruvian and going to Lima, well you need to get your husband to help you look for a job. He probably has a family there, families can give very good hints at jobs and provide connections: "my friend´s cousin works at...", type of thing. Also, once you are there you look up the employment agencies in Lima and start visiting with your CV. Does this sound wrong, my friend? Just a fiendly suggestion! Regards!

Luckily, dustin has given Peruvian job seekers a head start. If you are looking to find a job abroad or away from home, incorporate other parties into the whole job seeking. It also depends on how much you are willing to take up the challenge of the job you might be qualified in not being available but still being willing to travel there. There is the satisfaction that normally results from eventually getting whatever it is that you have worked for. There is a comprehensive listing of jobs in this link.

I am also looking for a job in Peru, maybe i can be an English teacher. I speak English well, and i think i am capable of teaching the language.
Comment #19 Eve (63.176.159.145) - 12/20/09 11:35
Well educated Americans that can speak great English are usually very much accepted in most places throughout the world, as a professional, and as and expat and what not. It would come as no surprise to me, if it were that Americans got very reasonable, to exceptional job opportunities over in this particular country, indeed.

Which would be Trinidad and Tobago, as I forgot to mention.
Comment #21 smithy (63.176.159.212) - 01/26/10 21:04
Americans get good jobs in most places in the world. This is simple fact that one can never deny, not in this lifetime.
Comment #22 Nomer (193.218.114.79) - 02/20/10 19:48
I have to admit that there are indeed lots of benefits on being an American, and it includes what smithy is talking about. But all in all I think there should be a fair share for everyone, so whether you are not an American I think you should also be able to get the same treatment from anyone and from everywhere. Anyway, have a great day ahead guys and keep posting here.
