I have been to Lima twice now and love it. This time I am actually thinking about looking to buy a condo or an apartment. Needless to say the people are why I find it so interesting. I just got here recently and I'm totally lost. 7 Anglo speaking people in a week. That doesn't make any sense after being all over this place in a city as big as New York! I'm looking for some contacts here also, especially in consumer electronics--satelitte Amer. TV, computers, and VOip. My background is in electronics in the states along with telecommunications as a previous company owner turned consultant. I fell in love with Lima on a trip there and now would like to retire there, probably in 10 years. Before I even consider that I would like to visit for three months or so and get a feeling for it. I would want to stay in the Miraflores area, be able to see the ocean and of course walk to it. Any ideas?

Why is it that Americans like to hang at their own designated places? I guess there are numerous places to visit and hang out provided you travel at the right time. Hope you got an expat's view on the same. Wonderful travel.
