| Yahoo! Answers: I Want To Travel To Peru and Have No One To Travel With? I want to travel to Peru and go visit Machu Pichu, when is the best time to go and where can i get the best price for travel. I don't know anyone else I can travel with so where I can find people to join in a group travel. What do I need to be aware of and be prepared for when I travel to Peru. |

You will want to avoid the rainy season from November thru April otherwise you should find nice weather most of the time. I was there in May of this year and the days were warm (65-70) with cold nights (30s). The midday sun can get pretty strong during the day so make sure you have sunscreen handy for the day and a scarf and maybe even a hat for the nights.Non-stop flights from Houston are available and are the most comfortable if not the best deal. I found the best deals with the TACA, LACSA, Avianca and other Latin American carriers. I flew TACA for a local flight in Peru and found it to be a very good airline, with newer planes and good service. Use Orbitz's flexible dates search to see when it's the cheapest time to fly. As far as traveling companions you can join a tour or go to travel chat groups or clubs to see if anyone will want to accompany you or meet you there. There are so many tourists going to Peru everyday that chances are you'll find someone you can go with. Make reservations for hotels online and make sure they are well reviewed and have them send trasportation to pick you up. It saves you the trouble of finding safe transport and haggling for a good price. Good luck! |
| Hi there. Thanks for sharing those information in here. I must say that I am also planning on having a vacation in the country and it would be great if you could all share here any good tips and suggestions as to the must see places in the country. It would be a lot of help to hear from all of you guys. Thanks a lot and have a great day ahead to all of you. |
| A tour group or travel agency organized guided tour sounds like a lot of fun. I would not want to go to these famous sites like macchu picchu without having someone around who knew about the place and could give me important and interesting facts about it. However I would like if that tour group would be flexible enough to add enough wandering around time to suit my individualistic tastes. |
